So awhile ago I jailbreak my iPod Touch 4 running 6.1.3 with redsn0w (tethered), And it worked.

However today I decided and bought a Touch 5, so now that I no longer need my old Touch 4, I wanted to restore it back to factory setting, but ran into problem.

I tried using the Restore function in iTunes, but no matter what I tried, going into Restore or DFU mode, it just kept giving me the message of "Unable to restore, error 3194".

I tried to search for some solutions, but all I have found are articles either about "how to tether" or "convert tethered to untethered"...

Can someone please help me? I just absolutely can't find any solution to removing tethered jailbreak :(

Your host file is pointing to cydia instead of apple.

Edit the hostfile.

Then put it in DFU-mode and restore to 6.1.3

Can you tell me where and how to edit the hostfile? A thousand thanks.

Unless following a guide, I'm not really familiar with jailbreaking :/

Thanks a bunch, I was able to restore it via iTunes after that.

And yes, sorry for not trying google before I ask, I was in a rather desperate mood at the time :x
