Hello.

I hope what I'm writing makes any sense.

Ever since updating, my desktop does this weird thing where when I click on the desktop it creates a frame around it. I don't want that, but when I turn it off, ti seems like I can't interact with the desktop at all. Like for instance, I'm using safari right now. But if I move the mouse outside safari and click on my desktop, it doesn't interact with it, Safari is still active in the menu bar at top.

What can I do to fix it?

Go this screen in System Settings and set to Only in Stage Manager and that should disable the behavior.
