HELP I cannot get in contact with Airport Express

Hello,

Can you please help me, I got a Mac Air, and a Airport Express.

When both is turned on, the amber light in the airport express is blinking.

When I move my mouse curser up in the top of the screen, on the wireless signal strenght symbol, and click in it, I can see my own house network (which works fine, I am on the internet wireless on my ALLNET wireless router), and I can also see what I think is the Airport Express (it states Apple Network 5ee891).

The problem is that when I click on the Apple Network 5ee891, I never gets connected to the Airport Express, and no signal strenght i ever shown,

Sometimes the Apple Network 5ee891 also drops out, and comes back.

My apple Express is positioned just one meter away from the mac air.

What can be wrong?

Try resetting the Airport Express (paperclip button on the underside; hold for 10 seconds while powered on).

Another very good way to troubleshoot is to connect an ethernet cable directly to the Airport from your laptop, but since you're using a MacBook Air, you'd need the ethernet adapter first.
