Help! I cannot make a ad-hoc network between iphone 3G and eeepc!

I have a iphone 3G 8GB (no jailbreak) and a eeepc with win XP.

After I set up a ad hoc network between them, it successfully connected, but after about 10 seconds, it automatically disconnected.

Anyone know what wrong with that?
Is it possible to connect ad hoc network with a no jailbreak iphone?
