I wanted to burn iMovie clips onto a dvd on my mac mini. I followed strictly the instructions: Created iDVD project in the iDVD pane of iMovie, customized and let iDVD finish encoding the movie. I waited until the Status reported Done and then tried to select the Burn button but I couldn't select the Burn button. I also tried selecting Burn DVD from the menu but it appeared light Grey and was not able to be selected.
I have burned CD's with images in the past and had no problems.
Why can't I select the Burn button? Did I miss something in the process? Help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Thank you for the quick responses!
I honestly don't know if I have a super drive or combo drive.
How can I find out? Where do I find the system profiler?

Thank you!

1.) Click on the Apple logo, in menu bar, top left corner of screen
2.) Select "About This Mac"
3.) Click "More Info..." button (opens System Profiler)
4.) Select "Disc Burning" from menu on left (under "Hardware")

Easiest way: Go to the :apple: menu, then About this Mac. Click More Info ... Then Disc Burning ...

OK, this is what I have:

MATSHITA CD-RW CW-8124:

Firmware Revision: DACD
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipped/Supported)
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
Burn Underrun Protection CD: Yes
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw
Media: No

Does this mean I don't have Super Drive but need it to burn DVD's?
Is it better to update my mac mini with a Super Drive or install a DVD burning software like Toast?

Thank you!

Thank you!

Installing Toast will not give you DVD burning capabilities, you don't have the hardware.

I'd suggest getting an external DVD burner.

Second that, you can't enable DVD burning through any software.

THIS

You need a Superdrive (DVD-Burner) in order to burn DVDs. You only have a combodrive (CD-Burner/DVD Reader). Go out and buy an external DVD burner at your local box store.

I'll do.
Thanks a lot to all of you for the clarification!!!
