Help! I can't update my software on my MacBook..

I am currently using 10.5.8 osx and i can't update. When i click on software update it tells me there is nothing to update. i'm starting to think its a problem with my model? can anyone please help

Looks normal to me, there were no updates to Os X 10.5.8 since a couple of weeks.

Software Update looks for updates for your computer based on the version of OSX and the Applications that you have installed. As you are on 10.5.8 and the current OS is 10.7.2, you may not get any more updates .
