Help! I deleted an important document and then emptied the trash!

I deleted a specific powerpoint file. Then I emptied the trash.

Now I want this one little powerpoint back.

What are my options? Any free options?

Any help will be most appreciated!!

Do you use Time Machine ?

You could try something like FileSalvage but it's not free.

FileSalvage as mentioned above or Data Rescue II by Prosoft Engineering. Keep in mind that if you continue to use your Mac prior to recovering your file you will likely overwrite the space it occupied, rendering it unrecoverable.
