Help..I restored my phone from backup, but NO contacts!

I have rescently reatored m phone an ten tried to sync it from it from back up I had. All was well, music, bookmarks, videos, etc but all my contacts are gone!! Can anyone please help me an let me know what I can do. I'm on a PC but soon to be on a MAC!

were your contacts not synced with address book on your pc?
just set itunes to sync with the address book and they should appear

and its mac, or Mac, not MAC

Well if you had it on your SIM card, Go into Settings>Contacts Calendars Mail>Import SIM contacts.

You were probably synced over the air with Exchange or MobileMe. Explore the settings under mail accounts.

idk if you guys think its my email contacts, but its my Phone contacts. Phone numbers!! all gone. I have tried everything! What really ticks me off, is that every fricken time you sync it back-ups and takes FOREVER!! Why in the world back up and then when you try to restore from it, it doesnt have any info at all?! Wow.
