iBook G3 800MHz

My power meter is showing an X and if I click on it, I see "no batteries available."

This is quite puzzling because I've never had battery issues (or logic board issues) with this iBook. I haven't done any software installs recently or anything. I tried a restart and it still shows an X. I went into Energy Saver to see if anything was out of whack but no luck.

Even more puzzling is the fact that I'm typing on battery right now.

Any thoughts or redirects to threads, docs, etc., will be greatly appreciated.

Might need to have the PRAM or PMU resetted. X usually means it can't tell how much power is left in the battery, which might mean that you have a bad battery.
