So I use iChat and my AIM contacts have the video or audio status on them. When I try to set up a video/audio chat, THESE THINGS HAPPEN.

Attempting a video chat:
—The video works, but no audio from other person. They can hear and see me, but I can only see them, not hear them.
—Doesn't work at all: The other person tells me that an "error" has occurred.

Attempting an audio chat:
—They can hear me, but I can't hear them.
—(Sorry I can't remember if "error" situations happen for audio chat.)

I can't find a clear solution to this, despite seeing other people's problems about it. Searching it on google shows me threads involving OS X Tiger (not to mention, they aren't even on macrumors :p) or some older OS X. I am on OS X Lion 10.7.2 (These problems happen in 10.7.0 or 10.7.1 either, btw)

Please help me, I do not want to use AIM desktop for my chat client :(
:confused::confused::confused:

Have your friends use a more modern IM solution. Skype to Skype or Google Video to Google Video works perfectly almost every time.

I find it highly unlikely that all my friends would switch to Skype or Google Talk. :eek:
Obviously using the same client on both ends will work.. >.> But that isn't the goal.
