So, I'm at the Installation Type page with the new iLife 11', and am currently viewing Custom Install. The reason: I want to keep iMovie HD 06' but install the new iMovie (iLife 11') as well without erasing iMovie HD. I brought my computer to an Apple store last year, and they were able to successfully install iLife 09' but somehow keep (just) iMovie HD 06' for me. Any way I can do this? Any help would be appreciated!

Well I just did the install of iLife 11.

I already had iMovie 08 and iMovie HD on the computer.

I simply put in the DVD and did a normal install. After the install had finished I had iMovie 11 in the applications folder and iMovie HD had been put into a folder next to it called "old iMovie" os something to that effect.
Obviously iMovie 08 has gone (never used that POS anyway).

So no need to worry.

However if you want to be totally safe just do what I had done (just incase) and copy iMovie HD to a USB stick. The app is totally self contained and is only like 100MB ish in size.
