I am going crazy because my MacBook boots up but freezes at the login screen and the keyboard and trackpad can't do anything( the cursor dosnt move and the caps lock key light dosnt go on when pressed) I keep shutting off and reatarting and I cannot do anything . I put the install DVD in but it dosnt boot with it.. I've tried everything on the Internet bu
t the keyboard and trackpad are frozen so I cannot do anything

ANY ADVICE? thanks!!!!!!!!!

You could try resetting your PRAM by holding down command+option+P+R on startup.

If you bought it less than 30 days ago, you are definitely covered by Apple Care, give them a call. If its more than 30 days ago, call them anyway because you are still within the 1 year warranty (if I can assume you have the alum macbook from your sig).... and see if they'll talk to you anyway.

Good Luck.
