So my imac 17inch (core 2 duo 2.00ghz 1 gb ram) shut off randomly today.
its had overheating problems in the last while so i downloaded a fancontroller and up'd the fan speed a little bit.
But today, it turned off and never turned back on.
The hard drive span for a second and the screen flickered but it turned off again.
Its been like this for HOURS now.
Whats wrong? I would really have to see the thing go.

theres pretty much nothing you can do. if it starts up, you could try a PRAM and SMC reset, but since it doesn't, your best bet would be fixing it yourself, might void the warranty, or take it to the apple store and have them take a look.

i would fix it myself, but what exactley is to fix?
i dont know what happened to it!

Something fried

something simple as bad Ram -

maybe more complicated like a cooked logic board.

Maybe power supply failure

-- you need a tech to look at it

-- and you need to learn to write better titles then "HELP!!" -- not very descriptive
