My iMac Intel Core 2 Duo runing OS 10.7.5
with 6GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM
to day it began taking a very long time to start up today. It runs a task bar and takes at least five minutes to actually get to the log in screen. Once it is up and running the background frequently has horizontal lines that break up and flicker. The computer runs very slow and functions like Spotlight don't work at all. When I open Pages all documents are blank. I checked permissions and fixed them with no luck.
What is going on here? Is this a DRAM issue?
