Hi all..

I recently tried converting some DVD movies using Handbrake in order to use on my iPod Touch. After converting, I cannot import the resulting .MP4 file into my iTunes library (via importing and drag + drop). I have also tried changing the file extension to .m4a which will let me import the file but only as an audio file.

Any help on how I can successfully convert DVD movies using Handbrake to iPod Touch friendly .mp4 files would be greatly appreciated!

CHEERS!!

What handbrake settings are you using? Did you select the iPhone/iPod Touch preset in handbrake before you converted? If you did that and then added the file to your iTunes library you should be fine.

Sounds to me like you ripped it wrong. Open Handbrake, in the menu go to Presets > Update Built-in Presets. Select your source (either a DVD or Video TS folder on your HDD). Select the iPhone / iPod Touch Preset, then start the rip. Then add the file to your library and you should be fine.

And there is no need to shout.:)
