I am trying to make a decision for my next laptop and so im trying to decide which to get. Im a middle school student and i need a laptop to do my debate research and school work on. (i have honors classes) Now i wont buy for maybe a couple months but i would like to decide whether to buy:
1) Refurbished macbook 2010 2.4 ghz core 2 duo from apple.com $850
2) macbook air (newest) 13 inch 1.7ghz i5 $1300
3) macbook pro 2010 13 inch 2.66ghz core 2 duo $1019
4) macbook pro 2011 13 inch 2.3 ghz i5 $1019(refurb.) $1200(new)
Here are some details:
I have heard about the 2011 macbook pros overheating. my cousin has one and after 15 minutes of usage it gets really hot. i also heard that the fans can get really loud.
The macbook is the cheapest and i will upgrade its ram to 4gb so altogether the white macbook will be about $900
I mostly will keep my laptop on my desk in my room but i will sometimes take it around the house and i dont do much traveling
I'm surrounded with choices... which should i get?
