HELP! In settings, iphone says CARRIER: ROGERS, is it unlocked??

HEY

So I had an unlocked from apple iphone 4, and i had it replaced under warranty for a problem with the backlight.

then i got a 4S so i sold the iphone 4 on ebay.

under carrier, it said it was ROGERS 5.0 or something, even with no SIM card in it

I put in my friends Telus sim card and it didnt work at first, but i plugged into itunes and it did work.

now the guy on ebay said it's locked to rogers, so i assume he just saw that it says ROGERS 5.0 in settings.

someone confirm that it's still unlocked, i know i tested it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


what can i tell the guy to do to prove it's unlocked?
the same thing i did? put in another sim card and plug into itunes? kinda panicking here

If they put in a different (non-Rogers) SIM and it works, then it is unlocked.
