The installer is signed with a certificate which has expired. After booting the installer, use the Utilities menu in the top bar to open a Terminal. In the Terminal, type date 101010102014and hit Enter. This changes the time and date to be prior to the certificate expiration date. Quit the Terminal and you should be able to proceed with the installation.

During the first phase of the installation, the progress bar may appear to be hung, saying there is 1 second remaining for a very, very long time. Be patient, it will eventually move on.
