Hi,
I do not know much about apple but i had an old laptop and it died, it wont turn on anymore. I know it was the one with the G4 processor, im not sure what version of OSX is had but i know it was an old version. The apple was only used for video editing, imovie was a great program, it was simple to use and did what i wanted to do. Im not sure what version it was but it was an older version.

I bought a cheap laptop from ebay so i could still do video editing. The one i bought is an 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo. It came with OSX 10.6.8 and ilife11. I do not like the version of imovie so i wont to go back to an older version, not sure what version i had but i guess ill start of with installing an early version, test it and if its not the right one install the next version.

I don't know anything about apples apart from turning them on and using the video editing program. My questions are,

I still have the 2 restoration CD's for the g4 processor laptop, would i be able to reinstall it onto the intel laptop so i can get back the old version of ilife?

If not, can I uninstall the new ilife and install the old one? If i can, where can i get copies of the old ilife?

Thanks
