Hey guys, I'm having a bit of an issue reinstalling mavericks after upgrading to an SSD. Using Disk maker X I made a copy of the Mavericks installer on an 8GB SD card. I formatted and installed my new SSD. I insert the SD card and I boot from it. I'm in the Mavericks installer in OS X Utilities. I choose Install OS X and I get the dialogue that "the install OS X Mavericks application can't be used from this disk. Copy this application to a writable Mac OS Extended formatted disk and reopen it to continue installation."

I'm assuming that the installer thinks the SD card is the target disk? How do I go about solving this from within Disk Utility? Can I copy the installer from my SD card onto the new SSD? Thanks.

Yup, definitely was a bad boot disk.. Remade it using Disk Utility and it works like a charm. Thanks!
