Found the problem with the drive.

How can I fix? Disk repair can't fix.

Is there a way to find out what 4,16655 links to?

Don't have another Mac to download/purchase Disk Warrior and don't have the time ATM.

Thanks

Frank

I think it is saying that your brother isn't really your brother.. :D

Without a bootable diskwarrior CD, I think you are dead in the water... How are you posting? Unless you are on a PC...

on a very PC ...

so is a sibling link similiar to cross linked files ...? if so, wouldn't deleting those files remove the problem?

thanks

This is directory corruption. Short of reformatting your drive, you need a third party utility, diskwarrior being, in my opinion, the best for this kind of problem.
