Have an iPhone 13 Pro Max which keeps getting frozen.
It's updated the latest iOS and space is not an issue.

I'll be listening to Spotify or watching a video/movie and my phone
will just freeze up. I can't turn the phone off, the buttons won't work, I can't swipe/close the app/screen off.

I've tried the up/down then side button button trick and that does not work.

First time it happened was 2 days ago while I was listening to music.
The buttons trick didn't work.
I had to get onto my iPad, get on spotify and turn it off.
That freed up my iPhone.

Today I'm watching a video and the phone froze again.
Once again, the buttons trick didn't work.

What else can I try when this happens?

I can back up and reset the phone I guess but I would like that to be my last option if possible.

Help?

If it's only happening with specific apps, delete them and reinstall them. If that fails, try doing a simple reset in Settings... use the All Settings Reset and Reset Network Settings. This doesn't touch the content of the iPhone, so that will all be safe. But do a backup just in case. If that doesn't work, the only option is to backup; erase; and restore.

How long have you had this iPhone? Have you used these apps before on this iPhone for an extended period without any issues? Did it possibly start happening right after an update to iOS? Has anything happened to the iPhone preceeding all this, like a drop or immersion into water?
