Hi everyone

I plan to buy new iPhones for my late 60s parents. They are using iPhone 12 Pro Max right now. The battery has showed its age.

Trie to decide between iPhone 16 Pro max and iPhone 17 air.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is on clearance right now. I could get 2 for CAD $2600 after tax.

2 iPhone 17 airs are $3200 after tax. The price difference is not mild. I cannot go for iPhone 17 pro max. They are beyond my budget.

Which one is a better buy ? Will iPhone 17 Air too small for a 12 pro max user ?

Is iPhone 17 battery life significant worse ? how about camera ? They don't play games. Mostly for watching videos and taking photos.

Thanks for your help. I intend to save some dollars. I guess the price difference is acceptable if they are much happier.

The Air camera would be a big downgrade for them???? Plus it only has 1 speaker. Are you looking at base level phones? I would go with the pro's as well

Thanks. Are the Camera worse than the 12 Pro Max ? I thought the 17 Air camera is better than 16 Pro Max, just short of lenses.

You ought to consider the weight too. The 16 Pro Max isnt an easy phone to use. I have to use a MagSafe pop socket to get by with mine.

Yes that's part of my concern. 16 Pro Max looks very similar to their current phone, very heavy and bucky.

17 air bring them fresh user experience.
