HELP iPhone 3G 16gb

Hey all! New to MacRumors, first time posting a thread. Anyhow, I have a White iPhone 3G 16GB, and the phone does not turn on at all or sync with itunes, and also the phone has NO water damage. What to do? Any solutions, anyone ever encountered or resolved this issue, heard this can be a bug in the firmware, common on ios3 firmwares. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Try holding down Home and Sleep buttons at the same time, for about 15 seconds. If that doesn't work and you do not relay on software unlock, then put the iPhone in DFU-Mode, restore and set it up as new.

Alright I will give it a shot, thanks! Is there a valid success known for these kind of issues. I just dont see how the phone can not have any water damage, and just not connect to itunes or power on, lol.
