HELP! Iphone 4s won't delete podcasts

I can't seem to delete podcasts from my phone. I had no problem doing it with the 3GS. If I remove them from my computer and try to sync my phone, it transfers from the phone back onto the computer. WTF! I have poked around in settings on the phone and on itunes and nothing is working. Anyonew else having any issues like this? Anyone have any solutions???

I'm seeing the same thing and Googling we're not alone (though no-one seems to have a solution that I can see).

It's not consistent - some podcasts disappear when removed from iTunes, some don't.

What I think it is, is if the Podcast is downloaded straight to the phone (rather than synced through iTunes) it's not "owned" by iTunes therefore iTunes won't delete it.

You can manually delete them though - in the podcast list swipe the podcast (left or right) and the delete button appears which will remove it.
