Help! iPhone is stuck on "Software Update Complete" screen + won't Power Off

iOS 26 install, iPhone 16 Pro Max 1 TB:

Update is stuck on the "Software Update Complete" screen
I tried powering it off by pressing the buttons on each side. It won't power off. The propeller at the bottom just keeps spinning.

My iPad Pro M4 13" and iPad Pro 2021 11" both had same problem. but I COULD power cycle those which fixed it.

Any suggestions?

Do a force reset by pressing volume up once, then volume down once, then hold the power button until it turns off.

Is that force reset the same as putting it in DFU (dvu?) mode?

Did no one else have this problem?

I saw same problem (stuck on "Software Update Complete" screen) on 3 of my devices.
So I expected to see at least several topics related to it here.

No. DFU mode is for wiping the phone and reinstalling the OS.
