Hello, Everyone.

Weird question. My company let me use my company credit card to purchase my phone outright. I added it to Apple Pay, made it my default form of payment so there would be no issues, and made my purchase this morning without problems. All is good.

I have various things that charge each month on my Apple Card, which is usually my default. I would get into trouble if these were charged to my company card.

The question is this: If I remove the company card from Apple Pay, my default payment in my account, and pull it off of the phone entirely, while putting my Apple Card back as the default, will this screw up my pre-order at all? I know the card doesn't actually get charged until later in the week, so if it is not longer listed in Apple Pay or on my phone, will that screw up my pre-order?

Or since they already have the card information, will it no do anything and the purchase will go through just fine?

Thanks for the help!

Your answer may lie in when does Apple actually and finally charge you for the product. Phones, iPads, etc are only processed for prep/ship/delivery when fully paid for (as in when you hit the icon to Order It and get the confirmation).Suggest you contact the Apple Card/Goldman Sachs people for the deep dive on your issue. I have found them to be responsive and quite helpful.
