iPod touch Help! Ipod touch frozen

I bought my ipod touch on 2g and ive updated to 4.0 ages ago when it came out, its frozen and because its so old, my top left button doesnt work becuase of old age, now its frozen, i try to reboot(hold home and top) and it dont work! Its stuck on facebook app!
Ive tried connecting to itunes but it doesnt come up so help!!!

Let the battery die out. That might help

They will fix it for you! Regardless to your warranty status because it is not a hardware issue! They will most likely confused:remove the battery I don't know if they'll really do this but I know they'll somehow manually restore it) and restore it for you!

Yeah thanks i was thinking that too, but i just charged it so it may take a while.

I typed my postcode in and it didnt work, it said no results were found :S. I live in the UK so that might be why.
