I bricked my Iphone 3gs 4.0.1/jailbroken when I start to restore all media or something like that on my iphone. It kept looping w/ apple logo!
Thankfully I found a way to make get it to restore mode!
I wanted to preserve my baseband while upgrading to 5.0.1!
So I used the redsn0w custom fw!
For some reason itunes just giving me this 1604 error both on my pc and my mac!
IS my phone bricked? Should I just upgrade into the official firmwire?

you need to set your files to apple again instead of cydia.

Download TinyUmbrella, connect device, start TU, in advanced tab uncheck set hist to cydia on exit, close TU, now ALT/Shift-restore in itunes with your custom ipsw
