Hello
I know I have never posted here but I have been reading for a long time. I have a 64 GB iphone 6+ since launch day and have been very happy with the battery life until I updated my iOS to 8.1. I had been getting 11 hours of usage on a charge with a few hours of standby but since then, its been 8 hours. I talked to apple and they said doing a fresh install of iOS 8.1 through itunes should resolve my issues. I backed up my phone in itunes because I had always just used the cloud.
I have the latest version of itunes installed on Windows 64 Bit and everytime I try to download the software it says error 3259. It will not download. I have turned off the firewall and antivirus and it still will not go. I even downloaded the iOS and tried to force itunes to restore and that did not work either. I live 5 hours round trip from an apple store. Does anyone have any idea on how to resolve this issue? I have no other computer that I can use to try this on either.
Any suggestions are welcome. They tested my battery and said it was great and it was a software issue. I haven't downloaded any new apps since the update and I have location services turned off, background refresh turned off on most apps, my email is set to push manually. I have my screen on auto and I have it set to the minimum brightness.
Thank you for your help
