Hi everybody,

I bought an iphone 4 about a week b4 the 4s released:mad:

Anyway, i now want to jailbreak it. It is by default unlocked already. If i just jailbreak it, will i lose my unlock if i restore it to original firmware??

Thanks
Kabir

If it's not jailbroken now, but it's unlocked, then it's probably an Apple Unlocked iPhone 4. Jailbreaking it won't change your unlock status.

However, I have a feeling it may be jailbroken, you just don't realize it. Verify if it's already jailbroken and if that's also how it's unlocked.

Um, no it is not jailbroken. No cydia or anything. Just stock apple apps and nothing else.

What other ways are there of checking, since i am quite sure it is NOT jailbroken?

If its not jailbroken and still accepts other carrier sims, than it is indeed unlocked, did you check it with other carrier?

What firmware is it on?

If needed restore to 5.01

If it is factory unlocked jailbreak with redsn0w, latest is 9.10b4
