Help Jailbreaking/Unlocking iPhone 4 (reverting baseband?)

Hey all, first time posting here so be patient please haha.

So in my research, what I'm finding is that it is now possible to unlock an iPhone 4 using iOS 5 using, for example, Ultrasn0w, on these basebands:

4.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00

What I'm understanding though is that because I'm just getting into the whole jailbreak/unlock, when I updated to iOS5 not using a jailbreak that would preserve my baseband I semi-screwed myself over because I now have baseband 04.11.08.

I have found multiple sources though that suggest ways of downgrading my iOS from 5 to 4.3.5 to go to baseband 4.10.01 then unlocking using Gevey SIM, but I'm looking for a non-hardware unlock.

My question is, is there a way for me to downgrade to one of the above listed, working, basebands then re-install iOS 5 using a baseband preserving jailbreak, THEN finally unlock.

The basebands listed above are for 3G/3GS and not the 4. So far, for iphone 4 ultrasn0w can only unlock baseband 01.59.

The question you ask about the baseband downgrade is impossible to do. You are stuck with thousands of others on this for now.

So even though there's a way to downgrade from 4.11 to 4.10 there's no way to go from 4.11 to 1.59?

There isn't away to downgrade your baseband from 04.11 to 04.10. This is happen back in October (very small window) where Apple release OS5, baseband 04.11 while they still signed 4.3.5, baseband 04.10. People who updated to OS5 realize their baseband has updated, they reverted it down to 4.3.5. That window is long gone and you are no longer can do this.

with 04.10 baseband, at least you can unlock it using Gevey sim.
