I went and bought the iphone 4 last night and they moved all my stuff to my new phone from my iphone3. Then the guy at ATT said he was going to clear out my i3 so that when i got rid of it, nothing would be on it.
after he cleared it out, he said it had been jailbroke so now I would need to restore the phone thru itunes.
Right now it just has a black screen with a skeleton face where the normal apple symbol is. I have tried to restore it but I am not very good at something like this ( i did not do the jailbreak either)
Does anyone have step by step instructions????
Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

Thank you...i will give it a try!! :)

base on your original post. I believe you have a 3GS, jailbroken with Greenpois0n instead of 3G. Genius erased your phone by hitting "erase all content & setting" which only can be done with un-jailbroken phone. Yours is and that the reason it hang.

Like the other poster said, put it into DFU and Itunes will restore it for you.
