I bought it with a corner cracked and it's recognized in iTunes but then nothing happens. It doesn't turn on. What's wrong with it? Does it need a new LCD or something? Help :(

P.S. Also tried iTunes restore and nothing happened...

Try to do a hard reset to see if the phone wake up.

Typically, if iTunes recognize the phone and show its info but you don't see anything on screen or having back screen. The LCD is gone/damage.

I wouldnt mind too much if it was the LCD because it's fixable but do you thinkits "bricked"? :(

Dang Amanda, did you test it out before you bought it?
Sounds like the screen is done.

Lol love the way you incorporated my username :)
And no, he just told me it was dead and needed to be charged.. It had the box and everything so it seemed fine. Yeah, I'm stupid...

That sucks Amanda, sounds like he tried to scam you.
Can you return it and get your money or is that out of the question?
When you plug it in to itunes does it recognize it and let you restore it?
It could be multiple things wrong with it or just the screen, anyones guess its good untill a tech checks it. I'd bring it to Apple and see what they say.

It is not bricked. What information did iTunes give to you for the phone?

It just says

Name: Iphone
Capacity: N/A
Software Version: N/A
Serial Number: 329120Z... etc.

P.S.: I got it into recovery mode though!

I did and after it was done restoring in itunes nothing happened..

However, when i press the sleep/wake button, it turns off and on in itunes so it is responsive..?

I think you need to replace LCD first. We can trouble shooting it with the guess of looking at Itunes and not seeing anything on LCD.
