Just bought external monitor...now I would like to use my external monitor as my main monitor and my blackbook as 2nd monitor...so I would like to just have my external with my 'dock' and not my blackbook.
How can I do this?
Thanks in advance

if you want to use it in desktop mode in wich u have an external keyboard and mouse as well you just power on and shut the lid of the macbook and it will go to the display. Or if you want to use both screens but want the dock on the external do the following:
Systempreferences>displays>arrangement>then drag the menu bar in the picture from the little screen to the big one and your done :)

Thanks for the help, but when I click on 'Display' I do not see the 'Arrangement' tab to click on?
If you can help me out please let me know.

Arrangement should come up if both your displays are on. It disappears when theres only one screen in use so make sure everything is connected properly
