My Air is only showing Symbols. I tried to shut it down and now I can't get past my log in screen it is only showing symbols.

Has anyone had this problem or know how I can fix it. Kind of an emergency.

I am stuck in Bogota and not sure how to fix it......

No only numbers work - letters do not - I have no idea what is going on with this keyboard....GRRRR

Thank you,

JB

Would love to help but not sure what you mean. The login password should look like circles as you type. What are you seeing?

Not seeing anything

Coming to log in screen and it is asking for password.

Keyboard is not working. I click to put in my Apple ID to see what it is typing and now only numbers work keyboard does not. I think this keyboard malfunctioned.

It was all symbols and now only number keys work - :)

Sounds like a keyboard issue for sure - head to a nearby Apple store?

What sucks is/.

I am in Bogota South America!!

Luckily my wife has a Mac Pro here = but I am down here for 2 weeks going to be rough... trying to find and Apple store here.

LOL craziness

`Yep!

They could not fix it, bought a `usb keyboard. It is a Spanish Keyboard which I guess will help me learning spanish, but I have to get used the accent keys LOL

At least the CPU is up and running.

Most of the time it has problem with heat sink and it is over heated and then
whole Mac air stuck , freezing, crashing.

But it could be the problem with actual logic board.

Get it checked at the Earliest.
