I bought an aluminium Macbook Pro about 2 months ago and only recently upgraded it to the Snow Leopard OS. After doing so, my Macbook has started lagging terribly. I've tried changing from Safari to Firefox, thinking it was the problem with the browser, and also changed download programmes from Transmission to uTorrent thinking this would cure the problem. However, nothing works and the beachball icon still appears and everything freezes and I cannot use any of the programmes. This problem happens even when I only have a few programmes open (e.g. a Safari Window, iTunes, Adium). I've verified and repaired disk permission, performed Keychain First Aid, etc but nothing works.
