HELP!!!! Leopard/Keynote

I installed Leopard and then purchased iwork 08 and installed it. First, I can't figure out why keynote didn't just upgrade the old one but now I have two of them. When I open Keynote 08 and open a slide show I already have made it always crashes. When I press play sometimes the screen will go black and wait a few seconds then I get an error message stating that it has quit unexpectedly. Sometimes it will play 3 - 4 slides then quit but I can never get through a complete presentations. I have dozens of file I have built in Keynote over the years and I am stuck. Is this a problem with iwork 08 or Leopard? I have done all the upgrades etc. but nothing. Any help???
