Help! Long Distance Podcasting Via Garageband

A friend and I would like to put together a podcast using Garageband. The trouble is we live 2000 mile apart.
I know it is possible, becasue I've heard casts that feature people literaly from all over.

Would someone be so kind as to let me know what we would need to pull this off. It would be greatly appreciated.

I would try recording your conversation with iChat, Skype, or whatever program you like, using something like Audio Hijack. Then mix it in Garageband.

yeah, basically record what one of you has to say, if it needs to be clear you could write a script (like a play) and send it by email. then speak your lines then some one just edited it in garange band. and combine both the speaches togeather.
