HELP!! looking for mac friendly hosting

2nd star on the right and straight till morning
my wife's site was recently moved from a shared server to an appliance server at MediaTemple and we've had nothing but major problems( can't access service changes/serious mail issues). of course, the techs @ MT say there are no issues with plesk, but after going to the forums at sw-soft( maker of plesk)...there are a lot of unhappy mac campers with similar problems
( os.9.2.2. and X)...

so....

we need to move our site to a host that is mac compatible(os9.2.2, I.E, outlook express/entourage as well as X and safari).

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would try a host with CPANEL. I run cpanel on my server and I've never had a problem doing anything with my OSX machines. If you are interested my prices and info is in my sig.
 
Not sure of your issues, but the things you mention aren't really OS dependent. :confused:

Look for a webhost that provides POP or IMAP based email with an SMTP server for sending then you can use Entourage/Thunderbird/OE/etc...to send/receive mail.

Not really sure why you mention browsers at all :confused: Are you looking for a host who has a site with a control panel that will work on your mac?

You will hear lots of praise here for asmallorange.com (ASO) and I have had no problems with surpasshosting.com

Really curious what a "mac compatible" web host is...

sorry i wasn't too clear of the issues...

yep, we can't access the control panel(plesk) with our browser( IE ). i hear plesk also doesn't work with safari. i found an older version( os 9) of mozilla that sometimes works...and sometimes isn't good enough. sadly, this is a known issue for sw-soft's Plesk system...not that the techs at mediatemple would actually research this( their standard reply is "everything works for us"...). i had to find it out on my own by going to sw-soft's forums. there are some plenty pissed people posting there.

secondly, the plesk system seems to have issues with outlook and entourage. the email has been really messed up.

sooooo....if we can't get these issues resolved, i'm looking to move our site to something that's more mac friendly. i'll check out the hosts you mention.
