Help lost itunes library info!

I updated my iTunes to 7.6 and my library disappeared. All my files are still there but they have gone from my iTunes library. I can import them again but I don't want to lose my playlists and ratings. Any ideas? No, I haven't set up Time Machine yet.

same thing happened to me. is there any easy fix? i figured out how to get the library back by dragging the itunes library in finder, back into the itunes window.

but all my playlists are missing and that is a HUGE loss.

any suggestions about how to get those back?
