help mac mini + plex or popcorn a-210

need help should i get a mac mini , popcorn a210 or wd hd live. I will be hooking up couple of external hard drive. don't really want to stream over the network. what would be my best choice. I need the device to recognize all kinds of files. i need my 1080p movies to run smoothly and have pristine quality without any loss. Let me know if anyone has been thru this road.

I use a Boxee Box for this played every file format I have without issues. Handles 1080p without issues too.

If you just need a media device, I think the mini is out-priced by a lot of fine alternatives. It will work though, and be easily updatable for a long time.
