Hi, im new here. i just got my new macbook with a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and a 2 GB 1067 Mhz DDR3 Memory with a Version of 10.5.5

Everything is working fine, except one thing, ive received that there is a new mac software update, the 10.5.6, every time i click install on the apple software update it gives me two options, restart now or not now. So i click restart now, it goes into installation with the progress bar and status, now i thought its not going to take long, so i left it installing. I left it overnight to finish installing but when i checked it again, it didn't make any progress at all..

HELP!! why can i install the new mac OS X??

delete everything in /Macintosh HD/Library/Updates and try again... or download it straight off the apple support website... make sure and get the combo update if you are on 10.5.4 or earlier

awesome! i manually downloaded it from the apple website and installed it, thanks for the tip.. makes life so much easier :)
