Im running Yosemite DP5 and finder windows acts weird. It won't remember user folder's settings, I sorted the folder by kind and list view and it won't keep the settings and changes back to icon view if I reboot the system or even just relaunch finder.app. and sometimes it won't remember the windows size I set for it and just change back to a very tiny unusable default size.

I've tried many efforts to fix this ****, like reinstalling the OS, deleting DS_store file and something else.

And there is another issue I just want to ask for help, it's not related to yosemite.
safari won't remember the window height. Yes, every time I reboot the OS safari just got short on its height and eventually it becomes very short. I have to adjust it everytime I noticed it.:(

It won't remember user folder's settings, it won't remember the windows.
It looks like the Finder's preferences file got corrupted.

In Finder : Cmd + Shift + g (Go to the folder)

Paste in : ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

"Go."

Move the file to the trash.
If another file there also has "com.apple.finder......" in it, move it to the trash too.

Restart the computer (important).

You will have lost your previous Finder preferences but the problem should be solved.
