Hi guys, today my 11inch macbook air was running out of battery, so 1 sec after it went to 0% and turned black I plugged the power in. when I hit a key, nothing happened. I hit the power button, and it beeped 3 times. and wouldn't stop!!! and wouldn't come back on either!!
After that I forced-shut it down, and then restarted, and everything seems fine now. do i need to worry? what could that have been?

didn't have enough juice to start, takes a minute or so, even after being plugged in,:apple:

At 0% it starts to save your current workspace as an image for when you wake, so it can restore it. During that period you can lose control etc. and it appears to have frozen. Just wait for it to go to sleep, then wake it again. No biggy!

thanks!!! sounds good. was just very worried by the beeping, that sounded eery...

One time I forgot to apply thermal paste to one of my older laptops. It turned on for about 30 seconds and on the windows loading screen it just shut off and started to beep really loud. That was scary!

The above computer survived that and works fine till this day.

Take out the ram from your desktop, or dont place it properly and youll hear beeping, scary stuff if you dont know that youve not placed the ram correctly and your computer wont turn on.

My 11" Air just did the same on me. Turned it off to switch to bootcamp partition and when I pressed the power button I got three loud beeps and unpowered black screen...
I turned it off holding the power button and next time it switched on without any issue. Few restarts so far and no problems.
Maybe I pressed the alt button to fast after it switched off/on. Searched forums and it looks like three beeps are related to RAM...

P.S. It was fully charged and charger plugged in...
