HELP! Macbook display problem

Hi everyone I'm running osx 10.7.3 Lion on an aluminum macbook 2008. I don't know if someone messed up with my laptop but all of sudden my display has a color depth of 4 bit i think, for example the colors of the finder icon are only 4, white, black, cyan and blue if you can imagine... its not a damaged display because while installing software updates colors look just fine (thousands of colors at least). I haven't found a way to fix this help please

I think your graphics card is dying. Find an Apple store as quick as possible. Time is running out!!!

i don think so, my graphics card is a 9400m and as i stated when installing software updates colors are just fine

Try reinstalling the 10.7.3 update.

The problem was present while on 10.7.2 after installing the update it was still there but i'll try

Always download the Combo update IF you have the bandwidth for it. Less issues than the software update method.

Solved the problem by creating a new admin account and deleting the other.

changing the account did not however work for me

can you please advise:
- i have 1.7.3 installed already - can i run the 1.7.3 combo update again?

- what is the difference between normal update and combo update?
