My Macbook Pro will have the wheel spinning about 1/3 then stops and shuts down. I am getting ready to get this machine back to my classroom this month.. Super confused....I teach 5th Grade and the kids use this machine for basic video editing.

I tried running (command-R) repair and verify to no avail. I hoping someone can help me with next steps. I have no OS software and hope to not have to erase the entire HD..

Thanks for ANY help!
