While surfing safari my macbook pro will randomly start highlighting wherever I move my cursor. It happens randomly and it is annoying because I can not get it to stop and it refuses to click on things because the text icon is displayed as it is in highlighting mode. I was wondering what is causing this and how I can stop it? Thank you very much and I know this is a weird problem so hopefully there are people out there that have encountered it and would be willing to help.
I have a 13" MBP with 4 gb of RAM. No applications installed besides Skype, Firefox (I don't use) and MS office which I only use Word.

Maybe you have tap to click on. Go to System Preferences -> Trackpad. If Tap to Click is checked, uncheck it.
