HELP! Macbook Pro screen messed up!

Hey guys,

I recently encountered an issue with my MBP. The screen becomes distorted and freezes the laptop forcing me to shut the CPU down by using the button. This time, when I turn the computer back on, the screen becomes distorted again, and gives me an error message telling me it is forcing a restart because of an issue.

Looks like a pre-unibody machine. Is your GPU NVIDIA GeForce 8600m? If so, you may have an issue with your GPU.
