Hi all - I purchased a 1.5 month old 13 inch Macbook Pro Retina for $700 CAD. I checked the serial number before I bought it and Apple's look up website shows it in warranty until August, 25th of 2014.

The Macbook is in mint condition and experiencing no issues however I just wish to confirm should I experience an issue would it be the same in North America as it was for me when I had a Macbook in Europe? I did not need a POP receipt, they simply looked up the serial number and if confirmed in warranty fixed any issues I had as long as they were not customer damage.

Many thanks for the help. I figured I got a great deal on this laptop - the individual I bought it off of was going south on vacation and wanted the extra money to bring with them.

das right. Applecare follows the product not the person and no receipts are needed.
